Professional Career and Experience
Elisangela da Silva Soares is currently an Associate Lawyer, after completing her professional training course in March. She first joined JLA in 2017 as an Administrative Assistant, where she gained foundational experience supporting the firm’s day-to-day operations. She later progressed to the role of Legal Assistant (2018–2024), and later as a Trainee during which she was actively involved in assisting with a wide range of legal matters, particularly in Commercial and Corporate Law as well as Real Estate Law. As an Associate Lawyer, she now continues to build her expertise reflecting a strong progression within the firm and a deep familiarity with its core practice areas.
In addition to her professional experience, Elisangela served as a volunteer teacher for a Ministry of Education initiative supporting students with special needs in 2015. She is also a member of the Nucleus of the Brazilian Institute of Family Law (IBDFAM) in Timor-Leste.
Elisangela is fluent in Tetum, Portuguese and English.
